Village Dock Sections Begin To Arrive (Video)

Today W.D. Bach started the process of bringing in the giant sections of dock for use in the new village dock project.

I believe there are 7 sections.. built off site of course..

It’s really just by chance that I was able to get video of all of this.

Here’s how it went down. While checking my mail I happened to see one section go by my house. I quickly grabbed my camera and ran around to the Otter Creek Boat Launch where I saw their crew going. I then watched them carefully lower the section on to a barge operated by Tim Purcell. They then moved the section via the barge to the main village dock site where it was lowered into place.

That being said, W.D. Back has been making great progress on the dock. I think we’re lucky that they won the bid because they really seem to do be doing things right as well as in a timely manner.

BTW.. as I was uploading this video I saw another section of dock come into the village so I imagine by the time you see this video that two sections will be at the site.
