Feb 3rd 1973 – 38 years ago – Sid Patterson of Alexandria Bay wins the Channel 7 North Country Sportman Ice Fishing Derby in Sackets Harbor with a 15 pound 10 ounce Pike.. His secret weapon… GINGER BRANDY !! He poured it down the hole for luck and the tip-up went up! The whole thing makes CBS Sunday Evening News !
